Dawn

Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:
He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. Psalm 37:3-6

In my personal study times recently I have been reading, reflecting, and resting in the 37th Psalm. One I had never dwelt on before, but holds some amazing truths and promise.

In the last couple of days, the NIV wording for verse 6 has really stood out to me.

He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn

Wouldn't it be great if we shone like the dawn

The dawn brings light, it rises in the dark places.
The dawn shines light into darkness

When it is dark people, generally, sleep. When it is light people rise, and live.
The dawn brings the light, that bring life.

May we shine like the dawn to others, bringing light and life to those who long for hope!
