Camping

This weekend I am off camping. If I knew that the weather in July would be as rainy as it currently is, then I would have conveniently been washing my hair this weekend, or otherwise engaged. But I didn’t forecast the unpredictable weather that we are currently experiencing – so we are going camping.

The joy of it all is that in the midst of what maybe a smaller version of the Glastonbury mud, we are not just going to camp, but to enjoy time together as a youth group in the presence of God. We’re taking 30 of our young people to SOLID, a Christian youth festival that should be awesome! They get to climb, bounce, run, play etc etc, it sounds a whole heap of fun. In the evening there are worship events, my prayer is that in the midst of the mud, the rain, the fun, the tents, and everything else that is going on that our young people will experience the real and amazing power of a living God!

Please pray for those young people, for the ones who know Christ to go deeper, and for the ones who don’t know, to experience Christ! ………. Oh, and for the weather!!
