Every other Wednesday I run a youth cell for year 11+
For the last few cells we have been looking at the word of God. We started with a brief overview of the Bible, then discussed the authority of the Bible and tonight for the third and final part of this mini series we looked at living out the word of God!
It was a really good night, getting the young people to think about how they live out Gods word.
In the midst of it all though my mind came back to the Sermon on the Mount!
Jesus was teaching his disciples the way to live out Gods word. He was teaching them how to live for God and not for the law. The teachings of Jesus, and the word of God is life changing. It has the power to transform!!
Even though Jesus was teaching his disciples, many others heard and believed. I caught a glimpse of that tonight - our youth cell is primarily to teach Christian young people, but we have a couple who are unsure or who have no links to church and tonight I started to see them engaging with Gods word!

The word of God has the power to transform lives, I believe that it is changing lives amongst our youth!
