This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it Psalm 118:24
There are 24 hours....
1,440 minutes..... and 86,400 seconds in this day!
All given by God!
One of the most common excuses that I hear for people not spending time with God (myself included) is 'I am just too busy' or 'I don't have the time'
Time is a gift from God and we have a responsibility to be good stewards of that gift, to use it wisely and well.
I wonder today how well do you use your time? It's a question that I have been asking a lot recently. Are you one of those people who works, works, works, and then when rest comes you sleep, sleep, sleep? Are you someone who is very disciplined in all they do?
As a child 'thank you' cards after birthdays and Christmas were the most grueling experience, after all I couldn't afford the time that it would take to write a short note to someone who had sent a gift. Isn't our response to God a bit like that?
Really when it comes to it we should be able to take time to give our thanks to the Giver!
How much of that 24 hours might we use for our own gain, and how much might we give back to God?
