Jesus

The question was asked to a group of young people:

'If Jesus was one of your mates, what do you think He would be like?'
There were some sensible answers like:

'He'd get involved' 'He'd do everything with us' 'He'd look out for us'

But, the overwhelming answer that most people offered was 'He'd be good at everything and a bit of a geek'

I went away and thought about this question....

I think Jesus would have been good at everything, but not in a geeky self promoting kind of way. He would be humble about His abilities and wouldn't make others feel bad if they weren't as able. He would be totally fair and just. He would stand up for his friends. He would look out for those who others might forget.

This youth group question became a challenging reflection for me. We are called to be like Christ, and so our actions should reflect His!
