Godly

I have been pondering on a huge question recently. What does it mean to live a Godly lifestyle?

Initially the stock answers come to mind: To read God's word, to pray, to share your faith, to be good etc
But, as I dwell on Godliness my thinking takes me further than that.

What does it mean in a world of sin, what does it mean to be Godly?
What does Godliness look like to others?
How does a Godly life impact our day to day lives?

Godliness has to be more than having a routine of reading the Bible and praying. It has to be active!
Sometimes I kick myself for missing quiet times, or not praying. I wonder what God thinks? Yes, it's important to do all these things. But, perhaps God is really interested about how His word impacts not only us but those around us.

1 John 2 vs 6 Whoever claims to live in him must walk as Jesus did

Jesus did spend time alone, he did pray, he did study, but he also DID!
He put God's word into action.

Godliness isn't about ticking boxes and fulfilling routines. It has to be about doing and action!
