Honouring

Everything has to be about honouring God!!

My life has to honour God
My words have to honour God
My actions have to honour God

As I was thinking about leading worship in a weeks time some thoughts came to me.
We need to further understand what it means to worship or honour God! It's not about me!! IT IS NOT ABOUT ME!

As Louie Giglio puts it: I am nothing, but I know I AM

That's the essence of worship - it's not about me! It is not about me!!

Our view of worship, even though we say it's not, is based around music! Somehow in the progression of Christianity, music has become worship. I think music should have a central part in worship, but, it should not define worship. Thus, if we don't like the music we say: 'I didn't thin worship was great today'..... Lets hold that thought for a while...... I DIDN"T THINK WORSHIP WAS GREAT TODAY???

We need to, I need to get out of that habit. True worship is about honouring God! If we didn't think worship was good, we probably didn't fully connect with God. Worship isn't just about music. When we do sing out of a worshipful heart then we can be assured, however good the quality of music that God will think it's GREAT!!!!!

My life has to honour God! Not myself, but God!!!
