Newspaper

This morning in our 14-18 youth we read newspapers!
A highly spiritual activity I hear you say!!

The idea was that we would look at the newspapers, picking out issues, stories, happenings that stuck out and discuss them from a Christian and biblical perspective! We spoke about extravagance, forgiveness, sin, the holocaust, Adam and Eve and much more. I tell you this because it was one of the most challenging sessions I have ever done. It got me thinking about my faith and what I believe, which is always good, but really got our young people asking deep and searching questions!

It ties into what I blogged about 'challenge'. Adding to that, maybe we shouldn't just be aiming to challenge others, but we should be stretching and challenging ourselves!!
