Programmes or people that is the question?
So often in Christian ministry, actually, in life in general. We can get stuck and bogged down in programmes. Plans of what will work well here, ideas of may fit 5 weeks into the future, syllabuses for youth work etc etc.
We can get so involved in the planning and the programmes that we forget what it is all for : People.
Leadership has to be about people, not programmes. People matter!
Jesus loved people, he led people, he spent time with people. He didn't have a massive folder which planned his speaking programme and his tour dates. Planning is good, but lets follow Christs example and get to know people, get alongside our brothers and sisters in Christ first, before developing programmes which may help them grow.
People matter!!
