Mouth

I, the Lord, am your God, Who bought you up from the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide and I will fill it. Psalm 81:10

I love food and I love it when people offer me a meal. 1. because it means I don't have to cook and 2. because it's generally better quality than my cooking!

God wants to fill our mouths! He wants to pour out His Spirit and blessing upon us. He delivered the Israelites from the oppression of the Egyptians (Exodus 1 - 14) and He led them through the wilderness into the Promised Land. It took a long time for the Israelites to get to the Promised Land because they didn't fully let God fill their mouths!

But My people did not listen to My voice, and Israel did not obey Me. So I gave them over to the stubbornness of their heart, to walk in their own devices. Oh that My people would listen to Me, That Israel would walk in my ways! I would quickly subdue their enemies and turn My hand against their adversaries. Psalm 81:11-14

Eventually they got to the Promised Land because they directed their hearts to God (Joshua 3-5:12) and let Him fill their mouths. They obeyed and listen to Him, and He led them out of the wilderness and away from their enemies.

- When God offers to we accept?
- Do we let God be God?
- Let's not get caught up in a wilderness because we don't obey God
- Make time to listen and dwell in God's presence!
- Open your mouth and let God fill it!
