Are we obedient to God, and if not, why not?
Moses wavered a bit. He was called by God, but wasn't sure if he could do it. Eventually realising that God could, he went!
David was the youngest son of Jesse, the least likely to be royalty, but when God called, he obeyed
Abraham was promised a great inheritance through his son, Isaac, but when God told Abraham to sacrifice Isaac He was prepared to obey.
Thousands of years later.........
Jon is told to go here and do that, but instead of going in faith, he wants to know why, when, how, what, who with.....
Can you identify with this last point? Are you a bit like me, who questions, even doubts the voice of God sometimes? Are you challenged by the fathers of our faith?
A couple of years back I reflected on what my entry to the 'hall of faith' in Hebrews 11 might be. By faith, Jon..... What might this be for you?
Let’s not let our unfaithful nature, get in the way of God's calling for our lives!!
