Isn't that so true, and not just for universities but for schools, colleges, work....
It used to be that young people wanted to change everyone they knew or talked to for Jesus Christ. But, we have seen a siesmic shift to the place where evangelism has almost taken a back seat and we look inward at survival.
That is scary but I think it is a reality. To most 13-25s church is not a fun and exciting place to be and the revolutionary culture is more and more so being outworked through 20's and 30's.
So young people see survival as success in faith, revival is often not even on the radar. But I want to ask the question....What do we model?
Do we model a revival, evangelistic culture, or do we model a faith that is hard!
So often I hear people saying 'It's really hard to be a Christian' for some it is, but it is also a great joy. We as a Chrisitian church in the UK need to get our heads around the fact that we have the greatest truth of all time. When you've got something good you share it, so why aren't we?!
I long that we may become a revival, not survival generation!
