Quote

I came across this quote by Tony Evans whilst reading my daily devotions:

"He never wrote a book that tells His story, but the Bible has outsold any other book in history
He never wrote a song, but, there have been more songs written about Jesus than anyone else
He ever travelled more than a few miles, yet there are few places you can go where His name is not known."

Isn't that so true! As I prepare for a session this weekend called ' Why read the Bible?' I have once again been revisiting some of the arguments for and against the Christian faith. With so many different schools of thought and directions it is easy to see why people can become so confused. After reading some of the material linked to this subject, I felt somewhat dejected, but along with that came the realisation and thankfulness for my own faith.

I love the fact that the Bible is the best seller, and more songs have been written about Jesus than anyone else. If they were business stats then they would mean something and they sure mean something to me! I love the fact that I worship the guy who didn't have to write His own autobiography because the impact that He made on this world was so huge that so many people just wanted to tell of Him.

Will we be people who continue to tell of Him? Will we be a generation who continue to sing songs about Him?
I know I will! Are you onboard?
