If you return to the Lord with all your heart, remove the foreign gods and the Ashtaroth from among you and direct your hearts to the Lord and serve Him alone; and He will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines.1 Sam 7:3 NASB....and the people obeyed, they laid down their idols, turned away from their desires and their gods, and chose to follow the Almighty God!
...then the Philistines came up to battle, confident from previous victories, not scared of any god!
...the Israelites were scared, but Samuel reminds them of the promise God made to them
...and he prays, he cries out for the nation Samuel cried out to the Lord for Israel and the Lord answered 1 Sam 7:9 NASB
...and God is faithful
...and gives Israel victory!!!

Obedience
Trust
Pray
Victory
Let us be an obedient, trusting, praying people.
The challenge is to lay down those things that we keep as idols, that we desire above God.
My challenge is to daily re-dedicate my life to God, not to myself, but to the faithful, loving, living God
