Sometimes when I think about our generation I get really down, but other times it really excites me.
This generation.....
...sees few problems in sex before marriage...
...has easy access to alcohol, drugs etc...
...look older than they actually are...
...knows that they have rights...
..have technology at their fingertips
I'm sure many of these things were true of other generations as well.
In the midst of it all this generation...
...fights for a cause...
...wants to stand out...
...wants to save the world...
...wants to be famous, known, accepted...
Every generation since Jesus has had the commission to go and save the world. To make disciples, to be a witness to the ends of the earth. (Matt 28:16-20)(Acts 1:8)
The Psalmist writes in Psalm 145:4-6
One generation will commend your works to another; they will tell of your mighty acts. They will speak of the glorious splendour of your majesty, and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They will tell of the power of your awesome works, and I will proclaim your great deeds.
We have a Biblical responsibility to share our faith, to hand down and tech the next generation, but also to our friends, families, those who may have never heard!!
Will we be the generation to.
STAND UP
STAND OUT
...and show the world, not a religion that causes people to die of boredom, but rather a cause worth fighting for, a truth worth telling!! That what the Good News is!!
Can this generation make a change in this world for Jesus Christ. History is written, God wins, but not all are saved! God, in and through our lives, wants to, longs to, change that!!
