Blaring

I like music, this week I have had blaring out over my car stereo Worship by Michael W. Smith! A really great album, i think!

There's a track on there called You are Holy, its a track that remind me of Canada last year, 140 young people singing it out around a camp fire by the side of a beautiful lake. But also it is a beautiful song, it is such a simple song, but yet so powerful as well.

You are Holy
You are Mighty
You are Worthy
Worthy of praise.

I will follow
I will listen
I will love you
All of my days

What a great way to start a song of worship. Its not about me, Its about God and in response to the greatness, the mightiness, the holiness, the worthiness of God I will follow, i will listen and I will love!

In the chorus the female voice sings a different part which beautifully fits over the male lead. Basically just singing out names of God. You are king of kings, you are lord of lords, you are mighty God over everything! etc etc

Its hard to describe in a blog, but this week whilst listening to that track in particular God has been teaching me about worship. That its not about the beauty of a song, that its not all about singing songs, but that its about a person of God realising that their God is above all other gods, that their God is able, that their God created the earth and the stars and for that He deserves all the praise and the glory!

Lets blare out praises to our God, for he deserves it!
